AUSTEN HERITAGE

Caroline Knight kindly sponsors Jane Austen Regency Week. In 2022 she accepted our invitation to be a patron, so you can read more in-depth information about her background and activities on the 'Patrons' page.

Caroline is Jane Austen's fifth great niece, but until more recently, had concentrated on a successful high-level career in marketing in her adopted homeland of Australia. Now things have come full circle and Caroline is using her time growing up at Chawton House and her connections to Jane Austen to bring her experiences to a new audience. To this end, she has written a book "Jane and Me" all about her connections with Jane Austen and Chawton House.  She has also started the Jane Austen Literary Foundation, a charity set up to to support literacy through volunteer programmes and literacy libraries for communities in need across the world.
