Details

Jane Hurst will be leading a tour of Alton, focussing on the buildings and people that Jane Austen would have known. See where her 'Alton apothecary' lived, where she went to buy her cloak, visited her sister-in-law when brother Francis went to sea and where brother Henry first opened his Alton bank. Many of the places that she would have seen when coming into her market town are still standing so see what she would have done.
